Big Cedar Wilderness Trails is located atop one of the most breathtaking escarpment areas in North Texas. Situated on over 100 acres, our trails wind through cedar and hardwood forest and descend quickly into a valley in a dramatic elevation change. From the trails you can view iconic landmarks of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Looking westward across the Trinity valley, the view is dominated by giant AT&T Stadium, The Ball Park in Arlington, Six Flags Family Park, and even the downtown Forth Worth skyline. Cedar Hill State Park, with its hills wrapping around a big lake, is the most prominent feature to the southwest. Big Cedar Wilderness was acquired with the assistance of The Trust For Public Land
