For over 30 years, Mountain Creek Community Church has welcomed our community to Prayer Mountain—a 100-acre sanctuary dedicated to prayer, reflection, and fellowship. Visitors throughout the week enjoy our indoor prayer room, hiking and biking trails, scenic decks overlooking Joe Pool Lake, the Patriot Pavilion, and quiet picnic spots atop the highest natural elevation in Dallas.
God has faithfully guided us in building this house of prayer for our city. Caring for these 100 acres and preserving these spaces takes dedicated hands and hearts. When you lend your time and talents to help maintain and improve Prayer Mountain, you help ensure this sacred space remains a refuge and a blessing for all who visit.
A prayer Center for all of Dallas
“Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.”
John 13:3-5
Pick up the towel
Knowing who He was, Jesus set aside His status, put on the servant’s towel, and washed His disciples’ feet. He showed us that real leadership is found in humble service. God has blessed each of us with unique gifts to share—when you volunteer your time and heart, you follow His example and help us extend grace and love to our entire community. We can’t wait to serve alongside you.
Jesus didn’t serve to figure out who He was—He served because of who He was. For everyone stepping up to volunteer, our prayer is that you serve out of gratitude for what God has already done, rather than a pressure to earn your identity or do "enough." True service isn't about striving to find out who you are; it's about giving freely from who you already are in Christ.
